Two pedestrians were injured late Wednesday afternoon after they were hit by a vehicle while trying to cross Deerfoot Trail on foot, police say.
The pedestrians were struck in the southbound lanes of Deerfoot near Stoney Trail in southeast Calgary, according to police, who were unaware of the extent of injuries.
It happened at about 5 p.m., during the height of rush hour.
The southbound lanes in the area were closed to traffic after the incident but later reopened.
