Mounties in Red Deer are looking for a man in a suspected child luring incident Monday afternoon.
Police say around 3:15 p.m., a 13-year-old girl got on the bus at Sorensen Station transit terminal and a man followed her.
The man got off the bus at the same stop the teen did, in the area of Viscount Drive and 22nd Street in the Vanier Woods neighbourhood.
He then offered her a ride home, telling her his vehicle was parked nearby, but she refused and got home safely. The man stopped following her after her refusal, police said.
RCMP describe the suspect as a Caucasian man, bald, about 50 years old, five-foot-eight, with a stocky build, and brown eyes. He was a missing a front tooth, had a gold tooth, and spoke in a deep, raspy voice.
At the time, he was wearing a puffy black jacket with a hood, baggy dirty jeans, and work boots.
