Police took down an allegedly drunk and disgruntled driver they say left another person in a heap on the road after running her down Saturday.
It appeared the driver of a truck — an adult female — deliberately hit another woman before driving off, cops said.
It turned out the victim of the hit-and-run was not seriously injured.
Sgt. Kelly Todd said exactly what led to the incident, Saturday afternoon in the 1800 block of 39 St. S.E., is under investigation, but alcohol is believed to be a factor.
Armed with a description of the vehicle and a licence plate number, police found the suspect vehicle from the air, following it until there was an opportunity to arrest the driver.
That opportunity presented itself soon after, along 68 Ave. near Huntridge Hill N.E.
