A seven-year-old girl was taken to hospital Thursday evening after being struck in a collision in southeast Calgary.
Paramedics were called to the 100 block of New Brighton Green S.E. around 6:45 p.m. to respond to reports of a crash between a truck and a pedestrian.
Police say it appears the child came out into the middle of the road into the path of the truck and was struck.
The girl was taken to the Alberta Children’s Hospital in serious but stable non-life threatening condition with possibly a fractured leg and some minor injuries.
No one else was injured.
The male driver remained at the scene.
There is no word on charges.
