Okotoks RCMP are investigating the cause of a crash that claimed the life of a 33-year-old man Monday evening.
Mounties and paramedics were called after 6:30 p.m. to 274th Avenue and 112th Street East in the Municipal District of Foothills to respond to a serious collision.
Police determined a black GMC Yukon was heading west on 274th Avenue when it lost control, rolled and landed on its roof.
The driver and lone occupant, identified as 33-year-old Stephen Hofmann, of Okotoks, was flown to Foothills hospital by STARS air ambulance where he later died.
The highway at 274th Avenue and 112th Street East was closed until about 9:45 p.m. but has since reopened.
