A 'concerned Alberta mother' is being ridiculed for her rap video opposing Alberta's LGBTQ school rules

An amateur hip-hop video about new guidelines to protect gay, lesbian and transgender students in Alberta is attracting ridicule online.

The video titled ‘Gender Bender’ was posted to YouTube earlier this month and promotes the website FamilysShouldKnow.com — a resource page for parents who oppose the NDP government’s introduction of gender diversity guidelines in schools.

The woman rapping in the video is identified only as M H Wiebe.

Around the 1:22 mark, Wiebe offers these lyrics by way of introduction: 

“I am a concerned mother of three… keep male and female washrooms where our children can pee!”

While struggling to stay in key, Wiebe belts out the following chorus overtop a karaoke track-calibre beat:

This is just a fender bender
All over sex and gender
Why make reality skewed
And create identity confused

Her critics on Twitter can’t decide what’s more offensive, her politics or her flow:
