Police in Red Deer are investigating the death of a man whose body was found on a trail Tuesday evening.
Officers and paramedics were called around 6:45 p.m. to the walking trails east of Bower Place Mall and discovered the man dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
The Calgary RCMP major crimes unit is leading the investigation.
Mounties are conducting neighbourhood inquiries to see if anyone witnessed unusual activity in the area, and urge anyone with information to come forward.
