Calgary police say a young girl struck by a car in the city’s southeast Thursday night is recovering in hospital.
Shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday, cops received reports of a pedestrian collision at Glenmore Tr. and 18th St. S.E.
Responders took the victim, a young female under the age of 18, to Alberta Children’s Hospital.
She was initially listed in life-threatening condition, but police said Friday she had improved and her injuries were being considered minor.
Although the details of the collision weren’t immediately known, police said the car was travelling at low speed when it struck the pedestrian and the driver remained at the scene after the incident.
