Police are investigating after shots were fired in the northeast community of Whitehorn, Saturday night.
It follows a troubling rise in gun violence in northeast Calgary, where dozens of shootings have taken place so far this year.
Police were called to the 100 block of Whitehorn Crescent N.E. at about 7 p.m. following reports of shots fired. Officers found evidence of a shooting, but no one was injured.
Investigators warned late July there had been 63 shootings across the city since January, including 25 in northeast neighbourhoods.
At least 60 per cent of the shootings were drug-related, while a vast majority were targeted attacks, according to police.
