Mounties recovered a stolen shipment of 800 new tires at a rural property near Three Hills earlier this week.
The investigation began on Wednesday in Edmonton, with police in that city looking to the RCMP for assistance when they believed a stolen tractor trailer unit they were after, carrying hundreds of tires, was headed south on Hwy. 2.
Outside Innisfail, RCMP officers located the tractor trailer unit, but the tires were nowhere to be found.
RCMP officers followed the trail to a rural property near Three Hills, where the tires were then recovered and multiple arrests were made.
Facing charges in connection to this incident are Trevor Michael Morgan Wilvers, 38, of Grande Prairie, Kevin Lee Brown, 51, of Grande Cache, James William Wallace Hussey, 42, of Rumsey, and Corey Allen Pasemko, 35, of Grande Cache.
