A wildfire near Waterton Lake, about 260 kilometres south of Calgary, was fully contained Friday after a week of effort by Canadian and American crews.
Though Parks Canada will continue to patrol the fire area and extinguish hot spots, all trail closures were to be lifted for Saturday.
Firefighters from both the U.S. National Park Service and Parks Canada contributed to the effort to contain the blaze, which took up 10 hectares on the slopes of Campbell Mountain.
The flames first ignited near Goat Haunt, in Glacier National Park, Mont. on Aug 14.
