Tornado warnings have been issued for the city of Calgary and Okotoks.
According to Environment Canada, as of 1 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located just west of southwest Calgary and was moving southeast at 30 km an hour. The neighbourhoods of Bridlewood and Shawnessy are in the path.

Sightings of funnel clouds over Calgary as the city faces a tornado warning.
“In addition to a tornado, this severe thunderstorm is capable of producing golf ball sized hail,” the weather alert from Environment Canada reads.
Residents are being advised to take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
