The person killed in a fatal collision on McKnight Boulevard N.E. Tuesday was a 17-year-old girl, Calgary police say.
The teen was a passenger in a Jeep that was going west on McKnight Tuesday just before 5 p.m. The vehicle lost control between 68th Street and 52nd Street N.E. and rolled across the eastbound lanes.
All three passengers were thrown from the vehicle. The 17-year-old was taken to hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The other two passengers, a male driver believed to be in his 50s and a young female passenger, are in hospital in life-threatening condition.
Police say speed and alcohol both appear to be factors in the collision.
