High River is really the place to be this weekend with events like the Heritage Inn International Balloon Festival, which hosted the popular Balloon Glow Friday, September 25th evening. That was only the start of the fun though.
More Hot Air Balloon flights are planned for Saturday and Sunday morning. The town is also hosting Alberta Culture Days, a fly in is planned of vintage aircraft Sunday morning. The new downtown will also be on display on Sunday as well over a thousand cars roar into town for the annual Show ‘N Shine which is one of the largest in the province.
So if you haven’t visited the town lately Sunday would be a great chance to look around and see just how far the community has come as it recovers from the 2013 floods.
