The Stuff-a-Bus event returned Saturday with Calgary Transit buses parked outside every Co-Op grocery store in the city for much of the day to collect donations for the Calgary Food Bank.
And Calgarians are urged to continue to give non-perishable food donations and/or cash especially as the recent economic downturn has seen a huge increase in demand.
Last year, the 22nd annual Stuff-a-Bus, was the most successful event in the fundraiser’s history, raising more than $40,000 in cash donations and nearly 80,000 pounds of food. In total, the funds and food donated were worth more than $200,000.
